MP-09 Cybertron Protector Rodimus Convoy

Finally the anticipated MP-09 Rodimus Convoy is here at last. There are 2 versions of it, one from Japan and the other from Hong Kong.

The difference between them is that the Hong Kong Version is getting 3 more items: A collector's coin, a goodie bag and a display box.

In my opinion, the only reason I will get the Hong Kong version is just for the collectors coin, so in the end, I got 2 of the Japan version which in future when my new home comes, I will display both which one will be as Hot Rod and the other will be as Rodimus Prime.

Vehicle Mode (Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime)

Some of us may have read about how the transformation is to go from hot rod to rodimus prime vehicle mode but still unable to visualize them, here are some photo to help clear your doubts

Mp-09 is overall the nice figure, however imho the quality is not as good as the rest of the master pieces from TakaraTomy so far. This figure feels more towards a Hasbro toy instead and we are able to see some clip marks and some loose pieces. I will explain more with the following pics

Clip marks beside the head

The cockpit cover for Rodimus Prime vehicle mode is quite loose when hidden under the trailer and tends to drop down.

These are the minor issues, and there are also some parts where we need to take note when transforming them:

When transforming the face from Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime, do not push Hot Rod's face too inside, if not you will need a pin or something to push it back out when you wanted to transform the face back.

From the bottom in vehicle mode, we can see a small part protruding out which is the "waist plate". I'm not sure whether due to my transforming that some parts are not inline properly causing this protruding piece which will touch the floor or whether this is a design fault.
I will revisit this again next time I take it out again and see if I still have the same results.

Overall this is still a great piece with interesting transformation design and you really got to have some patience when transforming as it requires a lot of adjustments to make the perfect vehicle transformation. (I have only transformed it once so I've still not perfected the transformation yet.) Definitely not for kids.

Transformers Generations - War for Cybertron Figures

Today I'm going to share with you Transformers Generations - War for Cybertron Figures from Hasbro. There are a few different figures in the Transformers Generations toyline, but I'm only collecting War for Cybertron figures as I'm playing the game on PS3.

The Front can be open up to store his weapons during vehicle mode

Overall these figures are quite nice but the color and quality is not as good as the United series from Takara Tomy. But they are cheaper than the Takara Tomy ones.

My first post! GX-40 Godmars

After viewing and looking at so many blogs, I have finally decided to create one blog myself and this blog will mainly be on my hobby: TOYS!!

One of my friend will just buy his toys and wrapped them up with clear plastic without taking a look at the real stuff. However, I'm a hands-on person and liked to the real thing, transforming them and then take some photographs.

Today, I just collected my pre-ordered Soul of Chogokin GX-40 GODMARS

Front of the box

Back of the box

After opening the box, you will be greeted by 2 separate packages. 1 containing all the accessories and the other;a styrofoam box containing the 6 robot to form GODMARS.

After unpackaging:

GAIA

TITAN

URANUS

SPHINX

RA

SHIN

Manual Book:

Next for the transformation, I actually did a stupid mistake and a part broke so easily on URANUS. To all who wanted to buy and transform this toy please be careful on this particular part (Applicable on TITAN as well). It split open and I have to use superglue to glue them back together as the screw points broke as a result of my mistake and I also have to take out the spring inside as it is keeping me from gluing the 2 piece back together. So now my URANUS has a leg with a loose joint. (Glued part show in the photo)

Transformation complete:

In the accessories package, it also comes with 3 planes that can combine together to form one:

Finally, this is a great toy to have though some parts may seems to break quite easily but most of the parts are die-cast and they have a very solid feel to it. Very nice.

That's all I have for now on my first post, till next time when I post my next toy in my collection.
